Another Night in Beirut, Video, Lebanon, 2019.

Another Night in Beirut was filmed 14 years after Fattouh’s first video, A Night in Beirut, where she follows el Tabball[1] during Ramadan in her childhood neighborhood in Beirut. At first, her intention was to put a face on that terrifying voice. The second time, Fattouh filmed that same Tabbal on the trunk of a motorcycle. At this point, she reveals how the old and tired Tabbal is nearing the end of his journey.

[1] El Tabbal is the one who passes in the city streets with a drum to invite the inhabitants to wake-up have breakfast and pray to prepare for a new day of fasting.
