A Song to My Brothers is a video in which six women reinterpret the Lebanese national anthem. They hum the anthem while rhythmically beating out the melody with belts, offering a powerful commentary on authority and masculinity. Fattouh challenges traditional notions of national symbols and explores how they intersect with themes of gender and power. The video redefines the anthem’s authority, presenting a collective and subversive expression of national identity.
